We've made big strides in the last 3 games but are far from out of the woods. Next 2 fixtures remain huge - we really need 6 points before we hit that nightmare run.

Everton, whilst certainly proving they aren't unbeatable with losses to the likes of Bournemouth and Burnley will be a tough ask and given our record up there I'd be happy with a point.

Which means we must beat Stoke at home.

If we can achieve 4-6 points from the next 2 then we go into Spurs, United, Arsenal and Liverpool on a decent unbeaten run with quality players returning and who knows? Maybe we can pick up a few unexpected points.

The optimist in me says 10 points - which would be a fantastic return.

The realist reckons 7.

Re: How many points in the next 6 games ?
Two things are true:

1) All of these teams carry a greater, sometimes a much greater, goal threat than we do.

2) We are light up front and continue picking our worse available striker as first choice.

We have improved defensively no end over the last few games but given how we struggle to break down even the worse of teams I can't see more than 5 points and that's assuming we beat Stoke as I can't see us beating any of the rest.

BTW, I'm not being negative, given the 12 odd competitive games we have played this season I can't think of one where we have looked slick and confident and likely to score.

So after 15 games we will have played Chelsea, Man City, Spurs, Man U & Liverpool away.
Rest of the season should be a doddle

Re: How many points in the next 6 games ?
That is a tough run of games no doubt.

My optimism reflects upon the way in which we tended to score on the breakaway last season when soaking up the pressure, particularly against top six teams. We have players returning from long term injuries, players that can score goals which has been our Achilles heel this season so far.

That said I am suggesting we will take 10 points off those next six games which will be amazing if we achieve it.

Queens,

In comedic circles, my post would be called a 'callback'.

If Ayew hits the ground running, no key players spontaneously combust, and the refs let us keep eleven men on the pitch for the full duration.. anywhere between eight and twelve points.
